PTARMIGAN RIDGE Flies In from News of the James Fanshawe: Racehorse Trainer website.

PTARMIGAN RIDGE had had four runs over 6f prior to today and been placed second twice and third twice but today was his day when he won the Breeders Backing Racing EBF Dormouse Maiden Stakes. He beat the second horse one and a quarter lengths but the third seventeen and a quarter lengths and never came off the bridle. This was over seven furlongs and on his favoured soft ground. Daniel Muscutt gave him a superb ride or perhaps you could also say PTARMIGAN RIDGE gave Daniel Muscutt a great ride also.

This would have given this lovely kind gelding such a confidence boost. He has not always been the easiest to train as he had his problems which he is now growing out of as he matures. He loves his swimming which has helped him hugely as has MIkaela who rides him out everyday. He will now go off on a holiday and should be a fun horse next year when most of his family come into their own.

Guy & Karen Gredley who bred him and also has a share in him sold his half sister by Nathaniel for 100,000Gns
